I have just upgraded my PC and I got myself a nforce 2
motherboard and 9600xt 256MB Radeon.

I am also running with an Athlon 2000XP with 512MB 2100DDR ram.

I have a problem when playing halo, it seems I have to
move the mouse too far to look arround.

I have adjusted the mouse sensativity within windows and
the game to the maximum but it has not made any difference.

This is not a problem in games such as counter strike - the
mouse sensativity is fine in there.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem is?

Thanks in advance.

Hiya,

I'm not 100% sure but Halo itself has a good few bugs in it on the PC - I too had a problem with the mouse being way way to unsensitive. Is there any patches for the game  ?

I can't think it being any other issue to be honest.

I have done a bit of reading on the net, and have found people with the
same problem.

The main reason given that it is not very responsive seems to be that
the game was directly ported from the xbox.

I am using a packard bell optical mice which must be about 3 years old now.

My next plan of action is to get another mouse with an improved dpi.

Can anyone recomend me a decent mouse for gaming?

Price is an inportant factory because I am tight and I like to save my pennies for the pub at the weekends! :D

You can always check the mice section on overclockers :)

Ive found disabling mouse Acceleration in windows (And in game but I dont think there is an option in Halo) will help a lot.

Can anyone recomend me a decent mouse for gaming? Logitech MX700 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=3,CONTENTID=4999) is the bees knees imo :)

Yes I looked at the logitech ones, but I think they are for right handers
only, and I am one of those left handed people. :smokin:

Im afraid this is just a poorly ported abismal game and you are all suffering bad code. Dont buy a new mouse, buy a new game.

Well funnily enough, I do wonder why I am bothering.

I do not know what the fuss is about with Halo.

I think I will stick to online counter strike - old but still a damn good online game.

i sure as hell think online gaming is much more fun than single player
offline. You cannot beat the feeling of getting one over a online buddy.
