How does it work ordering from Play?

Well, I apologise for reposting, but searches under "Ghost Recon" and "Island Thunder" brought back no posts...
Anyway, I think you pay when delivered Zoom. Service has always been pretty good.

i was looking forward to cs but unless it comes with dedicated servers it will suck, But considering CS is THE biggest mp game in the world surely even M$ must have the brains to get some ded servers going.

That is the correct price! Ithink its a full game - just its got a lot of the old game in it with a few new options and maps! thast why its cheap!

Ah! Was'nt that impressed with the original game but might get it again at this price if its got extra's and it works properly on LiVE this time.;)

I've ordered this months ago (same time as Boom) ...but forget with which online store, ....which one did we do it with Boom?
We did it with Play.com @ £14.99. My brother says:
- The lag issues have generally been fixed
- The lobby system hasn't changed and its g@y as always
- Most multi-player maps are good and nothing to unlock in terms of weapons (there are new weapons though)
- It still hasn't told me if secondary weapons are visible directly on your person and whether the holstering actions are visible
- Single-player AI has been improved (just like the PC version) both enemy and friendly AI are vastly improved.
So the bit that annoyed me most (lobby) hasent being fixed!!!
Damn!!
I know it annoys me as well, bu that's why the game is priced at £14.99.

Can you pre-order it for 14.99 within the Game stores themselves?
I went in at the Weekend and asked about it and the lad there thought it was going to be 39.99 DOH!
When I said it was not, that it was an expansion pack he thought it would be 19.99....

One thing I forgot to mention, the lobby system does show how good the connex is to the game sort-of RtCW-style (the green, red, yellow lights).

Just played the deom of it and well, im a bit disaponited. Its just more of the same..... (Still getting it though)
Why dont they let you invert the controls in the demo though....

7.9/10, but not one mention of the improvements over the original version. The cheat-infested, AI that's as dumb as a door-knob SOCOM got an 8.9 from those dumb-@sses. Gamespot shows its true colours once again.
A more balanced review from IGN since they know the action is online not just in the single-player:

I dont know why you call them xbox haters, they were spot on with there review of SoF 2 (IMO)
But they should have played it online though! How dumb is that!
IC, I'm sorry m8, but with exception to Halo and KOTOR, their review scores have been consistently lower than anyone else's for Xbox where as their PS2 scores have been consistently higher than anyone elses. If in doubt check http://www.gamerankings.com/ .
The fact that SOCOM was reviewed on the basis of its online play and not GRIT or even GR says it all for me: Double-standards.
IMO, Gamespot is good for PC reviews only. I'll look elsewhere for most other platforms.

Not all games deserve to do well ?
Well check the avarage score for SoF 2 then,
KOTR is doin well, as is GR:IT
Remember though ppl submit from highly dubious reviewers like a game-specific console magasine which doesn't rate for me. Still shows though that Gamespot are the lowest of the low when it comes to Xbox.

I haven't heard that from my brother. He's been playing for awhile now and says he hasn't encountered a problem. Are people over here playing against ppl from the US cause they imported?

I did a search of US game forums and quite a few were reporting lag issues. Apparently it still hogs bandwidth.

Don't like the sounds of that. The reason I stopped playing GR was because of the lag.

But i know who put the lines on the maps, was it you Zoombini?
Already got Island Thunder and graphics arn't that gr8 but gameply may attract people to it. Me well I need someone to pull me away from Knights of the old republic now :)

Me too, its an "overplayed to death" level...
Yeah i went on GR yesterday, and near enough all of the games being played were on embassy
Embassy is a great level apart from the easy spawn killing areas. Hope that's been sorted out.
I wont play that level when GR:IT comes out, as zoombini says it was over played,
Just like Beach invasion on RTCW at first.
