have my main username/e-mail

but set up 3 mailboxes for freinds family members

these were working ok
I was told one of the mailboxes was proving difficult to access
server timeouts etc

checked the server using telnet session
no problems there - with the main e-mail address

went into e-mail options from ntlworld homepage to
find that the three boxes I set up a couple of months back
and previously ok - are no simply not there
all that is there is a list of 14 extra mailboxes with "create account" on them

so basically they have vanished
when I tried to reconfigure an account using the same 3 names/email addresses
as I previously had setup I was told that
"this name is already in use"

any ideas???

I pretty much use yahoo myself now anyway
as my ntlworld accout has had the proverbial
seven shades spammed out of it

Maybe it's somthing to do with this??

According to the ntl server status page, the ntlworld email service will be unavailable to all customers between 11pm on Monday 9th February 2004 and 7am on Tuesday 10th February 2004.

The ntl status page says, This is to allow work to upgrade the email servers to improve the performance of the email service.

This outage will affect all ntlworld email users, including dial up, broadband and Freedom customers..........

I do not think this is related at all, ntl have chosen to carry out the maintenance during a less busy period between 11pm Monday and Tuesday at 7am.
