What do you think? Chevrolet did away with the popup headlamps. But they are Xenon headlamps now. Engine will be over 400 hp... probably a 6L engine, with 2 cam-shafts.

Nice looking machine...but 6 litre? Totally impractical and uneccessary - it'll never work over here.

Just give me a nice RS Focus or Clio V6 any day :D

looks ok from the front, they seem to have forgotten about the rear though and scribbled somthing down in 10mins.

I agree with russ 6l is sillyness, if you want over 400bhp you can get smaller engines, a 4.5l v8 bmw unit perhaps does 400bhp (n/a) or maybe a 5l merc turbo that does over 500bhp.
Oh no twin cam, what ever would they think of next :p vvt perhaps ?

btw clio's are only decent if its the williams special with the 3l v6 on the back seats :-)
focus im not to sure about i'd prefer the r32 golf.

6L? Hurrah, 1 mile to the gallon, where are the USA going to get their mineral fuels from when they've depleted their current suppliers/supplies. Hopefully where/whoever it is will tell you boys to start building cars that aren't nob extensions with slightly more realistic engine capacities.

Seriously though Jerrek,
As I said to a freind of mine in the US who has a couple of vette's, it's too curved for my liking.
Remember I grew up with nightrider, so if it can't beat the looks of KITT then it's just not up to scratch :)

have to say the bonnet (hood for the american ;)) is the most ugly one i have seen in a while...

and yes i agree if it doesnt come up to KITT standards, or at least the big van out of the a-team, then i am not interested...

 :2up:

KITT is the ultimate in car design... apart from the camp voice that is ;)

who doesnt want it?

You'd better run! :P

KITT cuts through the air with it's shape, like the lotus esprit and lambourgini.
If a sporty car doesn't look like any of the above, then it's got to be a small convertable, like a Stag, or cobra.

Cars like vettes shouldn't be wibbly like that one is, it's just not right! it looks like it's designed for women to want

The other problem is, I think citroen will be releasing a C6...

well I think the C5 looks like a salmon (especially the estate version)
the xantia was so much better looking in my opinion

And have you seen the C-crosser?

Isn't the C6 an improved version of the previous model. If you look at the attached photo you may see some similarities.

Russ: 6 liters impractical? No. Unnecessary? Perhaps.

Xaccers: No, no diesel. Only 94-octane gas.

Bifta: The C5 Z06 gets 19 miles per gallon in the city, and 28 miles per gallon on the highway. That is far from your 1 mile per gallon. It is reasonable regardless.

This isn't an everyday car, Bifta. You seem to be under the impression that every second guy owns a car with a 6L engine. That is hardly the norm.

My friend's dad got his C5 coupe, in 1999, for about 22,000 pounds brand new. The Corvette has always been a very affordable sports car.

I will definitely own a Corvette some day. My goal is a brand-new Corvette when I can afford it, but a previously owned C5 will do. Even a C4. I just want a Corvette. American engineering. :)

I'll stick with my 6speed manual diesel then that can do 50mpg on the motorway and about 40mpg around town :D

I do like being able to drop down to 5th and pull away from BMW's who are trying to tailgate me :)

Also, like KITT, my car talks, however it's not some hairdresser, it's a sexy young woman's voice, with just a hint of dominatrix :)

Hmm, I can guarantee you, you can drop the C6 to sixth and it will leave you in the dust.
