5 hours of ROTK ? Mega...... absolutely brilliant but since the first 2 extended were on 2 DVD's, does this mean that there be 3 DVD's just for the 3rd one ?

LOL Ian McKellen said it that 5 hours on a Johnation Ross interview - I thought he was joking:D.
So what does that make the probable length of the entire film on DVD?

Full extended edition will be about 12 hours in total I think plus a few more if they go ahead and do the prequal "hobbit" to complete the set.

heheh, George Lucas should have done star wars in the same way. all 9 episode done at the same time.... at least it would have been continuous.

ain't they supposed to have retro haircuts in the new 3rd movie so it "blends" in flawlessly to the hair cuts in Star Wars : A new hope ?

 I never knew that! :dunce:
....if anything can flawlessly blend in with Mark Hamill  :D
I just wish the first 2 films were put to the "continuity crew" (you know, those who make sure the books and games fit in with the middle three films) before they were released...

Or thereabouts. Imagine getting up at 9 and watching all three movies, and finishing after 9 in the evening.

Nearly as long as a babylonathon :)
I once did an entire season of Stargate in one day. That was shortly after discovering my brother's stash of 3 complete seasons, and having never watched Stargate before.
