Take-Two's highly impressive financial results were released today, and in them a treasure trove of game news. As part of its agreement with SCEA, Rockstar will publish the next Grand Theft Auto (their words are "The next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series") on PS2 in the fiscal fourth quarter, most likely means late October 2004 (when the other two GTAs were published). Mafia will ship for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in late January 2004, while Capcom will publish Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in Japan for the PlayStation 2 and PC, on their behalf.
Rockstar's highly controversial gore-fest, Manhunt, will be released on the PC and Xbox in fiscal 2004, and a GTA title will also be released for the Game Boy Advance. The Warriors, based on the Paramount Pictures feature film, will now be released in the third fiscal quarter instead of the originally planned second fiscal quarter. No details were issued regarding gameplay on this title.
