connecting to my website

Hi,

I been on NTL broadband for some years but never used the website facility. I read on the NTL homepage that I get 55MB of space so I downloaded terapin to have a go at building a simple site. I also have a copy of cuteFTP, but neither programme can connect to the internet/website

Terapin requests the following info(my response is included):
Server Address : upload.ntlworld.com
username :correct username
password : correct password

The programme fails to connect stating: THE SERVER DROPPED YOUR CONNECTION. IT IS POSSIBLE YOU DO NOT HAVE AUTHORITY TO CONNECT TO THIS SERVER


This is what CuteFTP asks for and what I enter:
Host address : upload.ntlworld.
Site Address : which is just the site name
username: entered correctly
passowrd: entered correctly

After attempting to connect the programme gives this message:
THE HOST VALIDATION FAILED.CHECK THAT THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD ARE CORRECT

Both the username and password were entered correctly.

If anyone has any idea how to help me I would be very grateful

The username/password combination is always the originallly allocated email address and password.

If you have set up new passwords or email accounts, then you must enter the ones originally supplied.

If this continues to fail, I would recommend getting in touch with NTL to reset the username/password combination.
