Ok my friend is shortly moving to swinton, bungs in his postcode and it says no no to broadband yet it say yes yes to digital tv! how can this be! Is this the stupid NTL postcode checker screwing up as usual?

Could be but it could also be due to bandwidth restrictions on the CAB.

Best to call them and confirm, if there's one thing NTL loves its selling, you can't go wrong if you want to buy!

so does that mean that he wont ever be able to get BB unless they do something about the restrictions? which knowing how NTL work wont happen!

More than likely, give them a call to make sure though.

Some areas dont support broadband, only TV services and Telco, but are being upgraded.

I called them today and his area does support broaband..its swinton in Manchester so is on the same network I am on...ex C&W...they said the postcode things is buggered what a shock!

who mentioned Terayon modems? he doesnt even have NTL installed yet..and i know they dont work up here as when bb came out it was always through the stb until they brought out the ntl modems
