Loss of Service [Archive]

I keep losing my Internet connection tonight (in cardiff). I **think** my levels are ok. i've posted them below in case:

Type : Ambit ETH/USB Combo Cable Modem Cable modem : Ambit Cable Modem MAC address : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
IP address : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Downstream Receive Power Level : 1.79 dBmv Downstream SNR : 33.57 dB Upstream Transmit Power Level : 50.00 dBmv
When i lose the connection i can't get at the cable modem using 169.192.100.1 either which i found a bit odd. Any suggestions/details? No outages reported on the freephone number.

If you are near St. Mellons there is a known issue which has been reported and is being worked upon as we "type".

I'm suffering from the same fault. Luckily I have an ADSL line as well and my first port of call is the status page but there isn't a fault reported on it. Any ideas if these localised faults ever appear on the status page?
