Just had the following message:

This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason:

Each of the following recipients was rejected by a remote mail server.
The reasons given by the server are included to help you determine why
each recipient was rejected.

Recipient: <****@********.co.uk>
Reason: 5.7.1 This system is not configured to relay mail from <******.*******@ntlworld.com> to <****@******.co.uk> for **.***.***.**

Please reply to Postmaster@ntlworld.com
if you feel this message to be in error.

Anyone know what this means?

One of the mail servers in between has the ntlworld server on a blacklist due to spam or some admin mistake and is refusing to relay mail from it, that's the most likely cause of events :) Remember different mails go through different relays and is probably only that email address you are sending to there that uses the relay that doesn't like ntl much ;)

Just tried to send through Yahoo Mail and received a similar message:

Message from yahoo.com.
Unable to deliver message to the following address(es).

<*****@*********.co.uk>:
**.**.**.* does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 501 This system is not configured to relay mail from ,**********@yahoo.co.uk> to <*****@********.co.uk> for ***.***.***.**
Giving up on **.**.**.*.

Ah I see, mail routing is borked somewhere on the way to that host.
*tries to think of a solution*
Nowt you can do, looks more like the remote host is borked :(

Just assessing the sarcasm factor in that post, for quite good reasons that can be best explained in private ;)

FYI usually mail blacklisting results in rejection to relay, similar symptoms to those, + once realised yahoo was also being rejected most likely that it's an SMTP routing issue.

It could also be spam blockage though, Yahoo are very popular with spam meisters.

Must leave email alone and stick with the network side of things ;)

No problem :)

And please don't fire http://www.nthellworld.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/remykiss.gif at me, only one person that I know in CM support would be allowed to do that :p ;)
