i have previously referenced problems regarding web browsing and now have problems with speed:

Sun, 3 Sep 2006 18:47:38 UTC
1st 128K took 203 ms = 645675 Bytes/sec = approx 5372 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 157 ms = 834854 Bytes/sec = approx 6946 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 297 ms = 441320 Bytes/sec = approx 3672 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 406 ms = 322837 Bytes/sec = approx 2686 kbits/sec

thats 10mbit

problems started last week, websites not responding with desired preformance, page loading stalled, tried diffarent proxies but it eventually starts again, there were also connection drops:

heres the modem details:

worth a call to NTL ?

If you're using ZA uninstall it and see if that helps. Disabling it won't make any difference.

i dont use ZA for those reasons, i have fully disabled norton, booted in safe mode, to no avail!

i get problems all the time no in the evenings, slow conenctions, friday night i couldnt conenct at all to sites or usenet, rebooting the modem doesnt help, i put it down to ntl

might have to get them out as the power levels are probably out
