new orange mobile (reprise)

Continuing on from my lost phone woes
...

ordered the phone through the web on Monday
all great ...order number and everything...confirmation e-mail etc


between 2 and 5 days they say

on the fifth I became suspicious and rang

"we have no order for you - probably because of problems with the website"


went to the shop and bought one in the time tested technique of being handed it in person

orange site has crashed six time in the past week if you are thinking of placing orders for loved ones at xmas


got the same deal at the shop too - even though the girl on the phone said i wouldn't be able to


so I am back on line now
after a week being 'mobileless'

got same number back too - payg

as the guy in the shop seemed to think the whole asp

I hope it's just a case of website problems. A few years ago, I had a faulty Orange phone. I called them about 4pm on Saturday, 8:30am the next morning (yes, Sunday!), I got woken up by a courier with a replacement.

Would be a shame if Orange weren't carrying on with that standard of service any longer.
