Today is evidently the most popular day to move house, the BBC were reporting today...

They were asking how many houses you have lived in since you were born; so I thought I'd ask the same here?

10 for me....

13 here... moved once as a kid, and all the rest were when I was at university or due to my job. Had enough of moving - not planning on doing it again for a few years now.

Just 4, lived at my grandads for the first 6 months of my life, then 2 houses next door to each other in Sheffield (one had an extra bedroom y'see) and then this one in Donny.

Hate moving.

Erm...I don't understand the question.

When you say "houses" do you mean houses? What about flats? Bedsits? University accommodation? Prolonged stays at girlfriends place? Short stays at girlfriends place?

Sorry to be so anal - I can't help it, I'm a virgo...

I think addresses at which you received official documents in the post is as good a definition as any. How many addresses does your bank think you've had?

I counted Halls in 1st and 3rd year and a flat in 2nd year as three separate 'houses'.

Using that definition, 16.

Or more like 15 if you count every time I went back to my parents, just when they thought they'd got rid of me for good :erm:

I've lived in 4 houses, not including the bits in between where i borrowed a flat, and when i lodged with a few people.

2 of those were when i was a kid, and 2 are since i moved out.

mmmmmm..... 35 in total
8 in Glasgow - when my mum and dad split up, my mum became prone to "moonlight flits" to avoid debts (couldn't do it now, with Experian et al keeping credit histories).
2 in Norfolk, when I went to school there
1 in Scunthorpe, when I got fed up of my mum moving, and went to stay with my bruv.
12 when I was in the RAF (Britain and abroad -only counting somewhere where I stayed more than 2 months, not counting shorter detachments)
12 since I left the RAF (Britain and abroad, only counting places I stayed over 2 months, not weeks/months in hotels)

But to be fair, I have been in this house since Feb 1993, so I have probably settled down now. ;)
