Here is what T-Mobile is charging:

0844,0845 and 0870 numbers as well as freephone numbers: 40p per minute

Basic voicemail: 10p per minute

Paging: 70p per call

Directory Enquiries: 118500(65p per min) all other 118 num's: £1 per min

Geographical numbers: from 12p per minute

Calls to other mobiles: 40p per minute

When are they going to lower these costs? There isn't any need for these charges anymore.

Everyone in this forum using t-mobile should give them a bit of hassle about it and write to them at the below link:

which tarriff are you on?

I am on Flext, and i get a £180 allowance for calls and texts. If i go over that usage then i pay:

20p/min anytime any network calls
10p texts
20p MMS

voice mail free
0800 either free or 10p/min depending on the number
0845 10p/min

very reasonable if you ask me :tu:

I've just gone on the same terrif (flext 35) £30 a month for a £180 pot of credit, it would allow 900 mins or 1800 txts, i'm more of a talker so it will be used mainly on the mins. Plus i went for the web n walk for £7.50pm which i can end anytime if i wish.

The web n walk is very handy, surfing with the new enabled HSDPA i get 1.0mb/s to 1.4mb/s on my vario 2 when tested here--> www.bandwidthplace.com

I don't know if you know this Chris but most t-mobile customers on web n walk, have to call 150 from their mobile to ask for HSDPA to be enabled. You can check your t-mobile account online, look in - account info>mobile phone summary>view or modify additional allowances. Here you should see HSDPA 384k Uplink £0.00 Billed if it isn't there, just give'em a call., mine was enabled within seconds. :tu:

Thats reasonable, but I was refering to their pay as you go service.

I don't want monthly bills and find pay as you go better, however, the call charges are terrible and they are not going to gain customers doing that. Currently, T-Mobile has 16 Million customers from statistics (4 Million are Virgin customers) and about 1 million are Carphone warehouse or Easy mobile customers. Thats quite low compared to Orange and O2.

So T-Mobile really does need to lower call charges.

I used to spend a fortune on vodafone payg, I found it way cheaper to go on monthly contract. I was with o2 and am now with t-mobile.

I just got fleeced bt T-Mobile as well, i phoned them on 150 to speak with them - 50p an minute although i didnt know that until they told me as it dosent say it on the bill.

Is Flext worth it?
