Whats difference between newsgroups/utorrent or limewire

I use utorrent and limrewire to find the music i can "legally" download. What difference would there be if i signed up to a newsgroup like giganews.
Any advice appreciated.

Giganews just provides you with newfeeds that you may not see on a convential newsfeed supplied by your ISP. You would not need peer to peer software to download from a newsfeed.

Also when you use Newsgroups you're not uploading to anyone else, the only server you're connected to is the news server so you're not sharing.

Newsgroups are starting to get more and more common in use as it's 'currently' safe to download what you want without fear of being contacted by anyone. You also usually get the MAX speed that your connection allows.

The only downside is that newsgroups like Newshosting (http://www.newshosting.com/) aren't free and you pay a small monthly charge of around £8.40is h a month. In my opinion it's well worth it.
