Are any other people getting problems in the Andover area? For the last month or so our broadband (4meg) has been going down a number of times each day. I have spoken to tech support on a few occasions, they have told me a number of different things from maintenance work to a faulty modem. We have had a visit from an engineer who said we had different level on the line and fitted 2 attenuators to the cable, but we are still getting problems. I have emailed tech support but with no response ( I am fed up with paying the exorbitant rates for unnnecassarily extended phone calls) I have also asked cutomer complaints at head office to get tech support to ring me , no joy with them.

I have kept a log for the last few days and it goes off between 11.00 & 1200 for a few hours, comes on for a bit in the afternoon then goes off about 1700 back about 1800 off about 1830 to 1900 then back after 2100. It has just gone off again (11.49) the ready light is off and the syc light is flashing.

I have checked the modem configuration and when it is working the levels are generally OK although the upstream power is sometimes a bit high. I have the home 200 modem.

Attached is a line test from the site you reccomend, it doesn't seem very good to me.

Sometimes in the morning when I log on the sync light is not on but the broadband works ok.

It has just come on again at 11.58

I would be grateful for any help.

Hi, I am an Andover 10Mb user with NTLhome 120 modem. Currently I have not been experiencing any outages, and generally service has been pretty good with regular full speed downloads from Newsgroups, etc.

My main problem seems to be with my Netgear WGT624 Wireless router that requires rebooting every 2-3 days!

I have a mate in Andover and his NTL has been up and down like a yoyo the past week.
