Hi,

am completely baffed about what my bandidth is for ntl.

I signed up for NTL last year on their special offer of £9.99 a month with a 3GB bandwidth limit. Now I hear that NTl is now unlimited bandwidth.

But on the NTL website it only has information on other speeds and there is one with 1mb but the price is £17.99 a month, which i do not have as i signed up for the £9.99 a month special offer.

Please can someone help me.
my speed i think is upgraded recently from 1mb to 4mb

Check your bill, that'll tell you, but if you went to 4meg, then that should be unltd, but I could be wrong, as I'm not au fait with your specific deal you got.

I can't check e-bill because it says the service is currently unavailable or something like that. Also the paper bill is by direct debit so I can't see

I don't understand what is confusing? It was £9.99 when you signed up, it's now £17.99 for new customers signing up ...

You just got a special offer, nothing odd or confusing about it.

That means you're paying £14.99 per month for 512K Broadband with 1GB usage.

You could upgrade to 1Mbps for £3 more.

speed test is no good want to find out my bandwidth

what???

Bandwidth is the transmission capacity of an electronic pathway such as a communications line, computer bus or computer channel. In a digital line, it is measured in bits per second or bytes per second (see Mb/sec (http://computing-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Mb/sec)).

So a speed test will tell you your bandwidth.

What your talking about is a download limit

usage limit <> bandwidth

as people have said, there is no usage limit now.

Why do people ask a question and then say the answer is wrong!

If you want to upgrade online you can often do that from THIS (https://autoreg.autoregister.net/cgi-bin/cablecheck) link. Becareful though as it only takes a few mouse clicks and you should be upgraded which means the cost of the service will go up.

You can also double check what tier you're on from THIS (http://192.168.100.1/), username and password both root.
