I'm in the BL3 area, and i currently have no internet, and a flashing light on the front of my samsung STB

Looking at the diagnostics, I see 1 warning "CM Lock Status : Unlocked"

What does this mean?

I also see the following errors in the stb error log

(since yesterday evening - lots of )
169 CM forced reset
163 Failed to range

(yesterday)
302 Post-RS Error 31 730750

(4/6)
302 Post-RS Error 16 730750

(30/6 & earlier)
302 Post-RS error 1 554750
301 No Signal 0 554750

(in fact - i get lots of no signal * post-RS errors going back to the beginning of the log - and here was me assuming that my router was going west - rebooting the router seems to clear connection issues)

Can anyone give me some guidance as to any of these errors? I assume CM = Cable Modem?)

Just wqnt to know if I need to raise a call with support - it's cheaper to ask the folks in the know on here

Thanks in advance

As you have no internet, you need to raise a call with support.

Unless, of course, somebody in the same area is having the same problem and already reported it :)

Would be quicker to call and report it since it might be a while before someone in your localised area sees your post and responds ;)

Indeed,

It's just i'm at work at the moment, and I need to be at home to ring support

How would that benefit the OP if the problem is local to his connection?

NTL tech support seem to believe it's a problem local to me.

They sent a hit to the box and asked me to reboot. This did not clear it. They're sending an engineer on Sunday (?? - didn't know they had engineers working sundays??)

Strangely, devices plugged into the stb are receiving an IP address of 192.168.100.50 - not a valid internet address and not one of the usual addresses you get if you need to reprovision.

It's just a shame none of my neighbours have an open wifi router
