So that that greasy portugese loser doesn't win.

http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/w/bypa/eligible.html

Vote for Luis Valencia, right at the bottom. He's quite a bit behind but if we can get a concerted effort over the next few days he'l hopefully win it :(

Yeah, got an email about this earlier... seems to be doing the rounds, so forwarded it to a shed load of colleagues :)

Will be keeping an eye on the outcome.

Hope Aaron Lennon gets it... He's had a brilliant season at Spurs, and he played an absolute blinder every second he was on the field for England in the WC, especially against Portugal.

Haha how bitter.

Anyway I'm voting for Theo Walcott, he had a great world cup, didn't put a foot wrong.

So that that greasy portugese loser doesn't win. That would be laughable...
Vote for Luis ValenciaNice try, but so far it seems to be falling on deaf ears. Sure - people will now (maybe) vote - but will they vote as one against Ronaldo? I don't think so...

Now to find the cookie to wipe so I can vote again :)

Why vote for Luis Valencia or Ronaldo when Fabregas was clearly the best young player at the World Cup?

Why vote for Luis Valencia or Ronaldo when Fabregas was clearly the best young player at the World Cup?The idea is to pile on as many votes on the current 2nd placed to remove Ronaldo from first.

That is the only logic.

So, you can all either vote for whoever you think deserved it, and spread your votes thin, OR you could all vote to ensure Ronaldo doesn't win.

So that that greasy portugese loser doesn't win. It's not working, is it...

---------- Post added at 14:28 ---------- Previous post was at 14:25 ----------

It's not working, is it...Oh - I take that back. There's only 2 percent between them now (http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/w/bypa/results.html) :)

The scary thing is, the man that sent this to us at work got all sorts of abusive emails back, including several that called him a xenophobe, despite him being English and encouraging us to vote for a player who isn't English..

looks to me that 114978 people bought into the media hype about messi

Why the **** is Modric in? He's not even the best kid in the Croatia squad (Kranjcar is, and even he was poor by his standards).

I'd vote but you have to give oodles of info.

I think whoever started the email campaign may have missed a key point..

Football fans from all over the world will be able to vote for their choice of Best Young Player for 2006 on FIFAworldcup.com. From the opening game in Munich they will be able to select the player who makes the biggest impression on them during the tournament. After the semi-final the votes will be collected and the top three will join three more chosen by FIFAâ₠¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Technical Study Group (TSG) to create a shortlist of six. The winner will be chosen by the TSG.

:p: :p:

So effectively, they give you a vote, and then take it away. That's very good of you FIFA.

We have no doubt the Portuguese will now lodge a formal complaint with FIFA, demanding extra time on the voting during which English IP addresses are red-carded from the selection process

That's assuming all english ip addresses belong to english people trying to rig the vote. How can they possibly prove that they are english. :D

flippin' heck you lot - get over it! Leave Ronaldo alone. Stop looking for scapegoats!!!

(waits for the bad reps to start pouring in!!!)

Besides, Lionel Messi is MUCH better. So is Van Persie. And Robben (if he stops diving). And Fabregas.

I personally think Lennon played better football (for the few minutes he was actually given) than most of the other guys listed
