Vote for Luis Valencia, right at the bottom. He's quite a bit behind but if we can get a concerted effort over the next few days he'l hopefully win it :(

Yeah, got an email about this earlier... seems to be doing the rounds, so forwarded it to a shed load of colleagues :)

Will be keeping an eye on the outcome.

Hope Aaron Lennon gets it... He's had a brilliant season at Spurs, and he played an absolute blinder every second he was on the field for England in the WC, especially against Portugal.

Vote for Luis ValenciaNice try, but so far it seems to be falling on deaf ears. Sure - people will now (maybe) vote - but will they vote as one against Ronaldo? I don't think so...

That is the only logic.

So, you can all either vote for whoever you think deserved it, and spread your votes thin, OR you could all vote to ensure Ronaldo doesn't win.

The scary thing is, the man that sent this to us at work got all sorts of abusive emails back, including several that called him a xenophobe, despite him being English and encouraging us to vote for a player who isn't English..

I think whoever started the email campaign may have missed a key point..

Football fans from all over the world will be able to vote for their choice of Best Young Player for 2006 on FIFAworldcup.com. From the opening game in Munich they will be able to select the player who makes the biggest impression on them during the tournament. After the semi-final the votes will be collected and the top three will join three more chosen by FIFAâ₠¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Technical Study Group (TSG) to create a shortlist of six. The winner will be chosen by the TSG.

That's assuming all english ip addresses belong to english people trying to rig the vote. How can they possibly prove that they are english. :D
