Its almost clear in the shade...but in the sun it goes orange.

Wow. It freaked me out because I have been drinking it in the dark for years. I went mental. "There's something wrong with my magners..."

I'm rather annoyed with it - because I like it but I can't drink it! If I have as few as two cans, I get a headache!

(sigh) I miss Red Rock - "It's not red, and there's no rocks in it!" And where's Copperhead these days?

I wouldn't say cider is for lightweights. I can sit and drink beer all night and not feel drunk but after a few ciders I am usually rolling on the floor.

I love magners have been drinking it for years.

I'm sure you were drinking Magners last time we met.. Having said that, it could have just been Quadplay, punky and myself..

Quadplay was definately drinking it- can't get him away from the stuff!

I can't stand any cider though, and yes i have tasted magners- still think it tastes like gone off apples.

Don't really like lager either, give me a pint of John Smiths or a large glass or Johnnie Walker any day :)

I don't think any of the old wineos , who hang out in our parks and open spaces would disagree with you

Is'nt Magners, just a re-branding of the old Bulmers cider, in an attempt to shift cider away from that 'drunks on the park bench' image - or have I got that wrong

Magners isn't mentioned on the Bulmers site.

Never underestimate the power of the haunted fishtank. ;)

Or a voice-over-man whose tragic attempt at an Irish accent consists of delivering the entire advert in a nondescript English voice, only to call the drink 'oirish soider' at the end.

Irritates the pants off me.

I need to get out more. Pint of cider, anyone? :D

fyi, from wikipedia
Cider is a popular drink in Ireland; for a long time cider production was officially encouraged and supported by a preferential tax treatment. A single cider, Bulmers, dominates sales in Ireland: owned by C&C (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%26C), Bulmers cider is a different cider to Bulmers in England (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England) where C&C (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%26C) do not own the brand, in the United Kingdom and USA C&C brand their cider as Magners.
