I don't think it can be right. It ranks me in the top 22% in the UK.

Don't think so.

It puts me in the top 9.5%, I am not sure I am ready to rub shoulders with Posh & Becks just yet, unless Argos up my credit limit :D

You are in the 6.35% richest people in the UK.

There are 3,667,423 people richer than you.

There are 54,132,577 people poorer than you.I think it's a bit optimistic... although I wish it was true. Best not let my boss see this, or else I can say bye-bye to a pay rise this year

Yeah its borked.

Apparently if you're on £0.34/hour you're better off than half the people in the country :O

What it doesn't take into account is that in many countries the equivalent of £200 a year is a very good wage.

My gf found a job for her and myself paying £1100 a month combined in SA, however, over there, that's a heck of a lot of money.

It is obviously Tony B's new way of making us all feel better off :dozey:

According to this site, in 2002 Judges, solicitors, and lawyers earned 51k pa - not the ones I know, don't! They earn (on average) a damn sight more.

I think you may be underestimating just how poor some people are !

If I earn a tenner a year it puts me as in the top 50%

Somehow, I don't think there's a single person in the UK getting less than that..

8k shows as top 42%

45k shows as top 3%

22k the apperent uk average (or close to that cant remember) is top 18%

the site isnt accurate but I think its more accurate then the government figures.

http://www.channel4.com/4money/funnymoney/richometer/how.html explains all:
"To make the figures as accurate as possible we assume that there are 29,4 million people with no income in the UK (children, pensioners, etc)"

Please don't shoot the messenger

£101,80 1 seems to be the cut off point ---there are more 300,000 people on that or more.

Shouldn't it really do it concerning only people who earn?? As pensioners and children and that are sorted out by other people.

The mean income is about 22k but the median average (i.e. if you were to list all the incomes in the country in order, the middle value) is about 15k I heard, so it does seem right.
