View Full Version : TV and Freeview without SCART
Hi there!
Got a second hand TV, but it has no SCART socket.
Can i still get freeview and connect it through the ariel socket somehow??
Many thanks,
Yes, you need a Freeview STB with an RF output. Many, but by no means all, have this.

I don't know much about freeview, but surely it can be connected to your tv by RF?
would an "RF loop" be the RF connection??

Yes, but that's probably not enough!!
Check out the ones that are marked MOD (have a modulator) on this page:

Sorry, but what do you mean by "not enough"!?

RF loop feeds the aerial back to the tv, does not mean they out put a selected TV channel via RF. Also RF feeds may not have widescreen or nicam even if selected buy the freeview box.
