View Full Version : Trailer tent tyre pressure ???
Hi all
I brought a second hand trailer tent (conway) and wondered what the tyre pressures should be ???? Tyre has 4.00 - 8 written on it.
Any ideas please .............Thanks

hmm, i doubt that has anything to do with pressure, 4 bar g is a lot (approx. 56 psi), even for a small wheel. with any luck, someone might have one and can advise :)
if all else fails, check for what seems to be a reasonable tyre compression when fully laden - im guessing the trailer isn't sprung, so it'll probably be better a bit more squishy that you'd expect a car tyre to be...
Single Axle tyre pressure needs to be higher than twin axle. 56psi is the "maximum" pressure but from what I can gather about 40- 44 psi should do dependant on number of axles.

yes it's a single axis trailer..........make is a Vredestein Speed Master 4.00 - 8 (4PR) V47.....if that helps 40 psi ???
Thanks
Mike
Standard loading 40psi should do but if extra weight is added go to 44psi
