Here's our dog Clio, 12 years old and not slowing up that much yet!
The first pic is of her opening her Christmas presents (she's very independent!) and the second one is her 'please rescue me' look when we took her to Bournemouth to visit my 3 little nephews :D

We had ran out of cat food, so they sat there looking grumpy as hell for over an hour, until I gave in and went to the shop!
Black one is Gizmo (female that never ever goes out), and the other is Stimpy (male that is hardly ever in!).

Oh dear,,,,

I hate that.

I hit a cat in the car once and it made me feel sick. I had to stop and take a long breather :(

Sadly this cat jumped out from under the car I was passing and I only just saw it in the corner of my eye. I stopped of corse but I could find no sign of it.

I know I hit it though, I felt the bump ......

Cat's seem to be a popular pet on these forums it seems.
I used to have fish. Had some red/blue/white ones and some jet black ones too.
Haven't had any pet's for quite a while now but would like to get some fish again some time.

One of my cats (stimpy, the pic is in an earlier post) was hit by a car about 6 years afo. He had to have his jaw wired up. It didn't seem to bother him though, he still lays in the middle of the road.

We also have 3 fish (gold fish) called big fish, little fish, and cardboard box. They are nocturnal though, they sleep all day! Is this normal for gold fish?

Show us your pets? Well, if you insist...here's one of Tigger when she was a few months old. The straw thing she's standing on is an archery target (or boss, to use the technical term); I occasionally practice in the back yard.

---------- Post added at 22:29 ---------- Previous post was at 22:25 ----------

Here's another, of Tigger as an adult moggy, doing one of her favourite things - she's 6 now, though she was 4 when the second pic was taken...as you can see from the date stamp. Oops.

She's a moth fancier, too. Moths, spiders, flies, those little bugs you can barely even see - the slightest hint of movement anywhere in my flat and she's off!

We originally had 2 fish, and my son called them Bob and Bob. We then got another fish and it would of just got silly calling them Bob, Bob, and Bob. So as a tribute to my hedonistic younger days renamed them. I think the fish understand. (atleast thats what they told me!)

My cat puddles.

the chunk out of her on her right hand side is from when we spayed her (or rather the vet did it).

She's the best cat ever, sleeps at my feet wakes me up with bad breath and is always waiting outside for me when I come home from work.

Amber loves carrier bags. Especially the ones you get at Christmas for the huge items! Sorting through all the Christmas decorations the other day - she managed to find the one box in a mountain of rustly plastic bags and did not come out until she heard a tin of tuna being opened! :D

Sorry to hear that. I remember when I had one of my Yorkies put down. She was very old (nearly 18), blind, had fallen down the stairs while running to greet me, and broken her hip.

She was up most of the night crying, so the next morning we took her to the vet. He said there was little or no chance she would recover and suggested it would be kinder to put her to sleep, but, it was up to me.

It was the hardest decision I have ever had to take.

I have previously had to take two of my neighbours cats to the vet to be put down cos she just couldn't... Worst feeling in the world, when the vet asks you to stroke and hold the animal as they do it.. :(

Am dreading having to take batz, but she has a huge tumour like thing where a nipple is - no point operating as it grows back and other than the icky sight of it, she's fine- still eating and drinking ok, so it'll be a while yet!

I love cats. Sadly I live in a flat now so can't keep one without having to take it outside regularly. I'm lazy, and its not fair on the poor cat either.

we're in a flat. middle floor. Socks decided he wanted out seeing as the builders kindly left the door open for him, and leapt off the balcony. our cat is not allowed outside, unless on a lead.

What is that? I can't even make it out. Is it a squished cat?

Poor socks. It looks like he's wearing a neck shield thingy. I take it he had no lasting side effects to his bungyless bungyjump?

At first glance I thought oh no a cats head in a car wheel ! I know sick mind lol

Looks like a beaten up cat. Was that from the fall or from fighting ? looks more Like its been fighting to me. Maybe it got caught in something ?

Still sad to see either way.

The vet said it looked like another cat had tried (and done quite well) to take a chunk out of poor Socks' head. :(

Well does it sound as though it has found a good home.

I remember nearly breaking my neck trying to catch my Grans Budgie when it got out of the front room and started flying about the house. We would never have stood a chance of cornering it if it had found an open window. That was one tricky bird to get hold of when it made its regular break for freedom. :D

A fish out of water will tend to thrash about a bit. :D

I'm not allowed to have a pet in the flat, so here's a photo of my friends dog.

Couple of me likkle puddy cat. Poor thing`s been ill and we don`t know what`s up with him (not eating, which is not like him!)
Been to the vets and the`ve done a load of tests which came back ok, now were taking him to Liverpool university to have some ultrasound tests done.
Hopefully it`s nothing serious, i think he was poisoned as they just happened to come down the road killing the kerbside weeds just before he fell ill, and he does like rolling around on the pavement, especially when the sun`s out.

Currently Hammy-sitting for a fortnight following which we will be getting our second one. Sufficient time has passed for the children's tears to pass and be ready for a new one.
