Nuisance calls

I wonder if anyone can help... my girlfriend has been recieving nuisance calls on her ntl phone line - ie heavy breathing etc.

She has 'witheld number barring' in place, but when she dials 1471 to obtain the caller ID of the nuisance caller, it gives her the number '000-0000', which is obviously not a valid number.

Does anyone know how this can be? Do international calls show up as all zeros, or are there telemarketing companies that can 'dodge' witheld number barring in this way?

Its a way round the withheld number baring as you thought, so the pros say..

Call the Nuisance Calls Bureau
0800 052 0361 - i think thats the number
its open 24 hrs a day and run by NTL.

And report it to the police too - I think they can help with this sort of thing.

You will need to have the police involved as well as ntl's NCB.
