Hi,

I've written about our Internet connection problems over the past few weeks here: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/showthread.php?p=733727

Today an NTL engineer called at our place and spent an hour and a half tuning the connection. Apparently he tried using two modems before the third did start to work. I was away at that time so don't have any more details than this.

The connection is now up and running at about 0.9Mbits/s which is pretty impressive for our place.
[... then I decided to upload a file to a web site and got a rate of 2.51KBytes/sec :-( Is upload usually this slow? ]
Nevertheless, the connection was down most of the time over the past two weeks and I'm wondering whether NTL should refund some of the money for the loss of service.

In general, do you know what would be required to prove that the connection was down or slow enough for NTL to accept responsibility and provide a refund?

Thanks,
I.
