View Full Version : Happy Eater
Whatever happened to Happy Eater?
We always used to stop there on our way down to Bristol when i was young... you used to get free games with the kids meals- i've still got a really annoying maze somewhere.
Seem to remember the quality being superior to little chef...
Do they still exist? If so, does anyone know where there is one?

nope, The brand ceased to exist in 1997 when Granada converted the restaurants into Burger Kings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burger_King) and Little Chefs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Chef).

Hey, I still remember when Wendy's hamburgers had a chain over here..
There's me thinking this was an early (and illiterate) greeting for sunday...
Ah yeah I remember Happy Eater. Seems like ages ago now.
Others that I remember were "Quick" that was a bit like Burger king.

I hate having to stop at the roadside stops these days. The food is all overpriced and frankly not very nice for the arm and a leg it costs you.
I'm not looking forward to the trip up to Wales on Thursday..:(
All I remember about Happy Eater was the logo - a litte red face of a man who looked like he was trying to make himself puke by sticking a finger down his mouth. :erm:

I like the greasy spoons, you get value for money and you get a good portion.
