I heard this was going to happen very soon anyone know when?

Since NTL & Telewest are the same company i see no reason whyTelewest customers should pay £17.99 for 2MB and NTL customers should pay £17.99 for 1MB

I think the grape vine is working over time at the mo.

Give them time they have only just merged the ink has not dried yet on the contract paperwork. If you really want 2meg BB ring ntl up and pay for it otherwise wait and see what happens.

Faults are doing an offer at the moment

If you have 1mg broadband you get 2mg upgrade free for a month
and if you have 2mg, you can upgrade to 10mg free for a month

Above are subject to equipment ability.

That should satisfy your need until NTL reduces its prices :)

So, if we go through the online speed upgrade thing from 1MB to 2MB will it still be free for 1 month?

And the offer on 10MB is £17.49 for the first 3 months

Ok, I'm thinking of upgrading to 10Mb as well.

Can someone clarify these offers?

I am currently on 2Mb, if I upgrade to 10Mb online, I get 1st month free?
And £17.49 for first 3 months? Only read it in this thread, but cannot find anything of these offers on NTL's website. Thanks

Thinking of doing and doing are 2 seperate things, it will greatly depend on what router you have and what speed it can carry.

I know I can get 10Mb, I had done the upgrade when it first came out, then thought better stay on 2Mb. So now things are a bit better financial wise, but still, I wanna get the best deal I can get right?!

So, these deals true?

NEW customers only so if you are already on a BB service tier with NTL then it will not apply to you.

Dammit just rang and they are closed.

For what its worth, found out in another thread the £17.49 for 3 months is for "Brand New Customers Only"

EDIT - Got beaten to it whilst on the blower to NTL :)

if you do it via the online upgrade, you dont get the first month at the previous speeds price, the only way to get the discounted pice is to speak to someone...

the only way you get the discount is if you go from 1 > 2 or 2 > 10, not if you go 512 > 1 or 1 > 10, also you may lose any current offer/discount when the upgrade goes through, what should happen is, the person doing the upgrade should look at what gives the customer the better price, & apply that one...
