SACM broadband set up.

I used to have an STB and to set up broadband i used the web set up,pid and password.With the SACM do you have to set it up using the cd,or is there another way?

provided everything on your PC is set to detect settings automatically all you need to do is have the modem powered off, connect the ethernet cables, power on the modem (let it settle) and then PC and you should find it works.

If you must connect using USB you will need the USb drivers from the ntl installation CD, but that is all you would need.

Also if you go to https://autoreg.autoregister.net this will take you to same set up as for the stb but for a stand alone modem.

Thanks for the replies.I just tried it on my other harddrive and i was straight online,but is that because i have already registered with NTL.

If i was starting as a new customer with the password etc.could i get to the autoregister page? like i could with the START page with the STB.

Rob c-How would i then enter the name and password?
