Anyone else having this? Speeds are really slow, and packetloss is huge. Did a speedtest and the downstream was fine, but the upstream was only 24kbps!

Here are the logs from the last time I booted my surfboard:

This guy is on Telewest, this being the Telewest section and him being in Plymouth, not ntl.

Don't see much in that thread about bad upstream or packet loss either.

Sounds vaguely like upstream congestion or issues on upstream with signal levels, could you post the power levels your modem gives please, along with a traceroute.

As requested, signal levels:

Downstream Value

Frequency 331000000 Hz Locked

Signal to Noise Ratio 38 dB

QAM 256

Network Access Control Object ON
Power Level 12 dBmV

Bump. Anyone?

I'm still getting really poor upstream (only 15 kilobits per second according to a speedtest). This is annoying, everything takes forever to load and with such high packetloss I can't do anything which involves even a small amount of bandwidth.

I'm having problems with upload speed as well. It can be fine all-day then it drops from 256k right down to 38k. It's really annoying me at the moment, I can't work it out. Blueyonder say my modem is fine, but when I look at the log on my SURFBoard in the Priority section I see a lot of Error, Critical and Notice....Is that normal ?
