View Full Version : Colour of your car
Wherever I go I am sure I am seeing more silver cars.
What colour is your car?
Red. It stands out well in bad weather.

Black
(but was white this morning as it was covered in snow :))
Actually mine is more a sort of greasy grey with streaks of gull pooh rather than white. Very attractive! :)

Yellow :dozey: Actually it's the 3rd yellow car I've had now (that nice soft yellow - like SEAT/Ford/BMW have.... not the harsh one like Fiat/Honda)
When on a boring night shift whilst working for the RAC I checked through all the breakdowns by colour and make of car. The most popular car was a Ford and the most popular colour was blue. this was some 17 years ago though :D

Silver here as well!
I dunno - all that rubbish about <insert colour here> shows less dirt is complete carp I think!
Blue, but a light blue, not electric blue. It's called Azure, I think.... kinda like the car below, but I hasten to add, that is not my car - Honest!

One silver, one black.
Silver was the 'in' colour for cars a few years ago, so more new cars were bought, in silver...

I can't be seen washing a purple car. People will think I own it. I already drive a 306 which is bad enough, people will think I am a full-blown tranny.
Mine's a pearlescent royal (Oriental) blue...
Our car is White but we also have a VAN thats wheelchair accessible for my mom :( (Thats black)

Try not to take any colour car, the owners and authorities don't like it :)
I have just ordered a new Hyundai Ionic in red. I have had enough of high fuel prices and queuing every time someone panics. At the moment it should cost me about 8.50 per 160 miles :). i travel 30 miles to work and home each day so no issue with range. It is going to cost me 750 for the charger to be fitted at home which is a pain but by my calculation i should be quids in after the second year.

And then they bring in road charging by the mile...
And then they bring in road charging by the mile...
Indeed but no matter what you do that is going to happen as they will make far more money from it. Just think they can increase the cost to drive on certain roads by schools between 06:00 and 09:30 or on main link roads like Princess parkway in Manchester at rush hour. No matter what we do road charging is coming sooner than most believe and most of the infrastructure is in place as it will be based on ANPR .

The trouble with that is number plates are easy to change/falsify (and also missing in one direction on motorbikes).
False number plates are probably not a big issue atm, but that would soon change if everyone was being charged based on them.

We were in a crash last Monday, so my nice Orange car is now gone, Thank God we are both alive to tell the tale, We are still very shocked , so it will take a while to get over it,
Three cars involved, but no one seriously hurled, Thank the Lord, Hope we can replace our car with another Orange one,

Sorry to hear that nash. Just curious - what was your orange car? You don't see many.
I had an orange motorbike in the 1970s, but that's the 1970s for you.

My ex had a similar policy until she met me.
Dark blue, the same as it was in 1995.

and that's why she's your ex :)
No longer got my red car. My new car is now white.
A little White Ford Fiesta but it takes me to work and back so can't complain.
I've had three cars since the Bright Red one I originally voted on in this topic.
One was Silver, and the other was (a deeper) Red, plus the current Blue on I mentioned earlier.
