Is it possible to split the incoming coax cable (like if you have broadband and tv) and run it to 2 separate cable modems? If so, will each modem run at half your connection speed?

Thanks.

If you have 2 SACMS provided via NTL they will do it all for you

:welcome:

If you want an additional cable modem, you need to sign up with ntl for an additional service, hence will be paying double.

If you want to share the connection, the easiest way to do it is with a router - See are Networking forum for more information.

Hi :welcome:

In a word, no - it would not work because each modem would require its own address & NTL only lease one address per connection.

- to share a connection you need a router ;)

if you pay for it, it works nicely, have done it in the past
