Just wondered if anyone has tried this yet. I have waited ages for them to do a diet Cherry coke, as I am Diabetic can't drink the regular stuff. The USA has had a diet cherry coke for years and they have never bothered to release it here.

Its nothing like the normal cherry coke though as this is actually black cherry and tastes a little bit like black forrest gateau :)

The reason they are introducing this is because Vanilla coke and Lemon coke are being withdrawn.

I have a bottle of lime diet coke at home at the moment which is delicious also. I'm not a big fan of their lemon variety though. It's all lemon and no coke. Lemon Pepsi is much nicer. Vanilla is OK but I can take it or leave it.

I'll look out for it next time I'm in Asda.

our local co-op have had it for a few weeks - completely different taste to full fat cherry coke.

I have bought so many bottles in the last week, however I have only found it in 500ml bottles or 330ml cans. No sign of 2L bottles yet.

I love it.

Next time your in the states try Wild Cherry Pepsi, not bringing it out over here which is a shame cas it taste so much better than cherry coke. When you drink cherry pepsi taste like pepsi till you swallow the drink and then you get a strong cherry after taste thats handsome

I know the Wild cherry Pepsi is even better. I drank loads of it while in Florida last year. I even brought 12 cans back with me. Am going back in August and plan to bring some more back.

I did email Pepsi and coca-cola when I got back to see if they would bring out the diet cherry drinks but the response from both of them was there isn't enough demand.

Now with Coca-Cola bringing our their cherry drink maybe Pepsi will follow.

Now the lemon one was quite nice and I liked that, but VANILLA !!! That was just wrong !!! Tasted awful.
I'l have to give this new cherry one a try.

LOL same here filled my hand luggage with a couple of 2 litre bottles and 4 of the 568ml bottles got the same lame reply from pepsi too

I just visited Sainsbury's Local in Bothwell Street and they didn't have any, in any size. :(

If you have a local One Stop (Could be branded Dillons still but unlikely) we have the 500ml Bottles for 2 for £1.30 and the 2l bottles for 2 for £2.30 (not bad imo)

Diet Cherry Coke is fecking minging.

Full fat cherry coke is sooooooooo much better.

I wrongly imagined the diet stuff would be like that, not as strong tasting as it is and its pretty damned sickly.

Hmmm.... that would be bad. Anyway I have spent that long drinking diet stuff that when I recently had some regular coke I thought it tasted horrible

I prefer the taste of Diet Pepsi myself with a slice of lemon.

Or actually Pepsi mixed with whisky.

(Awaits the people to flame me for wasting good whisky)

ditto its absolutly fowl. I thought what the hey and bought a bottle and really had trouble drinking it.

diet cherry on the otherhand does go down well, as for lack of demand they should just look at the shelves. My student union cafe & shop rarely have any of it left in cans or bottles by the time i get there for lunch. (mid morning there is loads of them and they're all sold out by about noon)

Well, I finally got my hands on a 500ml bottle of Diet Coke with Cherry. What can I say but yummmmmmmmmmm ... I want more.

(I note it is not called 'Diet Cherry Coke', which would be equivalent to the 'fat' version which is just 'Cherry Coke'. I wonder if that's deliberate, seeing as the taste is quite different?)

It is deliberate as all Diet cokes are called 'Diet coke with .....'

and I've still not found anything other than the cans and 500ml bottles.

Good news all ye' diet coke with cherry fan's. I've just been to my local one stop and picked up a pair of 2l bottles for £2.35 so the bigger bottles do now exist (they would be silly not to from how much i've seen it shift) i was lucky to get what i did today as there was only 3 bottles left in the shop

Been known to have it in a few pubs as well (but mixed by the bar staff).

I too am a diabetic, and am ashamed in one way that Coca Cola are doing away with the vanillia flavour, but i must say i do like the cherry coke.

Diet coke/cherry... It's drinkable, but anything more than that is pushing it really. It sullies the good name of cherry coke :)

The other new coke, C2 (http://www.americansoda.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=1163), that is doing the rounds too is pretty insipid as well...

I actually find it horribly sickly and it seems to go flat about 10x quicker... flat coke is a major no no :)

I've just bought a can and took my first sip this very minute. Sort of like fizzy cheap cough medicine, thought not actually that bad. I think it'll grow on me. Not as nice as the diet coke and lime though.

Well the Asda near me still doesn't have them yet. Was in there last night. Ended up buying 6 500ml bottles.
