View Full Version : what micro-hifi?
Anyone any recommendations?
Really, I'm looking for a clock/radio but, since I want a 'grown up' one, I probably want a micro-hifi with good clock functions.
Must have:
simple styling (no space age stuff please)
CD player
FM tuner with 75 ohm coax input (not a straggly bit of wire)
clock readable at night
alarm and sleep features that are easy to find in the dark
Like to have:
RDS channel name and time setting
AUX input
and possibly a minidisc player too
I've not seen much I like so far, except one of these second-hand.

No, I hadn't looked there before. However, there are any number of stores offering this type of thing but none has ever heard of tables! Assessing which products have the correct features is a very long winded process. It's even harder to determine which ones are easy to drive.
I was hoping for recommendations from anyone who actually has (or has used) something that might be suitable. Have you used one of those Handy?

There is a "Compare and Contrast" page that might help you to narrow your search down a little:
