Hi,

new to this forum, signed up simply to try and see if I am the only one affected with the recent problems. I live in Luton and have been using NTL 2mb for a good while now, been with NTL for over 3-4 years.

Over the years I never had any major problems what so ever apart from few hours down time here and there. tbh v.happy NTL customer up until 6-7 days ago, my connection just seems to keep cutting off.

I reset the modem like usual which normally solves the problem straight away. The modem lights indicate no errors but my connection is very poor for 2mb, from mIRC I usually get good speeds or even using BT. What seems to happen is the connection comes on and off every 15 mins. So for a while it will be normal then for no reason just stop working properly.

I just want to know if there are any other users experiencing similar problems and how long we expected to put up with it. Hope to get my 2mb fully working soon.

Ady

Thx Stuart C for the welcome, nah not yet, was just hoping NTL was doing something in the area and the problem will just resolve itself over time.

I'm connected to the Luton network, and I'm not having any problems since I switched on at 5:30pm.

so does that mean there is something wrong with my modem or they just doing something in my specific area?
