Just heard on the news that Chelsea have ended the season £140,00 0,000 in the red, the biggest 'loss' in football history.

Is it just me, or even with his billions, this seems a little O.T.T  :D

I think a lot of it could also be down to do with astute accountants and tax planning ;)

The accounts that have been released don't include the £100 Mill deal with Adidas and the £50 mill deal with Samsung.

Yeah, could have a bit to do with it, but this won't help

"The rise is down to some exceptional items that were necessary to help us in our aim to break-even by 2009-10."

Thats a looooooooooooong term plan

The termination of a deal with Umbro, which cost £25.5m, plus a total loss of £22.8m over the transfers of Adrian Mutu and Juan Sebastien Veron and the £5m for Academy recruitment were picked out as the "exceptional items".

Well there's close on £50,000 ,000 that wasn't exactly well spent, they must have some serious sleep problems at night, I panick over my OD, never mind :p: :D I'll just think of theirs now  :D

Wait till Abramovich drops them like a hot potato, they'll be in the brown stuff then, or wait till the relevant people catch up with him, they'll be down at the bottom of the table with all their players gone.

Didn't Chelsea nearly go bust when their last sugar daddy died

With Abramovich owning Chelsea this thread could also be called the Reds in Chelsea:disturbd:
