Blagged myself a new smoothie today and I was wondering if anyone knows of any sites which give ideas on recipes for smoothies, especially for those who work out?

I'm sure! I'm working out about 4 times a week so the smoothies I want to make should be good for energy levels, that sort of thing as opposed to just tasting nice :)

They're not smooth. They're full of bits, stringy fibres, seeds and another assorted horrors. If they were smooth, I'd drink the damn things but they're not. Bloody marketing people for you.

Ingredients
¼ Cucumber; 1 stick of celery; ½ small pineapple, peeled and chopped; Handful of spinach leaves; ¼ lime, peeled; 4 golden Delicious apples, chopped; Flesh of ½ ripe advacado; Small hand full of ice

How to make the smoothie
Juice the cucumber, celery, pineapple, spinach, lime and 3 1/2 apples. Place the avocado and remaining 1/2 apple in a blender, together with the juice mixture and ice. Give a good whiz for 45 seconds. Pour into a glass and serve.

Fresh strawberries half a lime a jar of whelks and 1/2 a tin of chappie mix for 30 to 40 seconds then enjoy .
