You could try a reboot

Have done, several times. It connects, but the connection is dire :( Pages timing out left right and centre.

looking here

your signal levels are out, especially the D/S Receive

- you'd better give them a call ;)

While waiting on the phone, there was an anouncement saying there was fault in my area. Could this cause my power levels to change?

;) Yes you need a engineer to vist your levels are all over the place .This will effect your speed  .Does the modem keep rebooting ?:(

No, modem sits there with normal lights etc.
It was the announcement about the local fault which got me thinking about whether or not it could affect my levels

;) If the local fault has been fixed and your upstream level is 61dbmv you have a problem as the modem is having to shout at the network this will give slow speeds. Also your downstream level is to high;)
