Will there be any new speed tiers? I had 3mb last year, but after moving house, i could either have 1/2mb or 10mb... bit of a big jump? Don't need 10mb, but if i had it, me and my housemates would probably go over the 75gb a month limit..
I think its all going to 10mb but with different caps. :)
None that we know of - 1, 2 or 10 will be the choices this year.

20 and 50mb.
*Sigh @ Telewest saying about all the wonderful things they're doing this year but forgetting that ntl will be deciding whether or not to pay for it.
TW have a lot of work to do on their existing kit imo before they start the rather expensive EoCATV upgrade.
10Mb is coming avalibe to all people with different caps,Apparently there looking at upgrading the 2Mb users in June (approx.)Only ,1Mb £17.99,2Mb £24.99,3Mb £34.99.If you upgrade to 10Mb it costs something like £16.50 for the 1st three months, Then £34.99..Think im going to 10Mb for three months than goin back to 2Mb. :)

Que?
I'm just lifting info from ntl, this says something along the same lines
Moving customers to a 10Mb Broadband service is part of a wider progression towards services with even higher speed and greater bandwidth. ntlââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s fibre-rich network means that broadband speeds of between 30Mb and 50Mb are possible through DOCSIS 3.0 (cable) or ADSL 2+ (copper). ntl has the flexibility in its dual local network to offer this type of connection in the future.
Whats EoCATV?
50Mb wow, thats mad!,think it will take some time tho lol.
It does sound like marketing bull but on the bottom level, if channels can be bonded with DOCSIS 3.0 then theoretically the capacity goes up by that much. I guess its a question of how much the fiber/routers can handle and if new tech is moving up at the same rate.
lol,yes and how much it will cost!

I think its in the distance currently, I can see 10meg for the lower tiers been delayed because of ntl playing catchup just to get the current rollout performing. I hope that ntl then upgrade in preperation for the next 10meg rollout rather then playing catchup again after it.
