Hi, does anyone know whether NTL provide a statistic tool measuring your total bandwidth usage on their network for the month:confused:

Apologies for mis-spelling bandwidth in the thread title.
I use Netmeter.
It will monitor both upload and downloads and you can set it to alert you if you go over a set amount.
It is free and you can get it from http://readerror.gmxhome.de (http://%5BURL=%22http://readerror.gmxhome.de/%22)

These bandwidth monitors work fine, but there's a problem when you run a home network, as the traffic within the network will be counted towards the internet traffic. The reported traffic will/may overestimate internet traffic when you're on a home network.

They may well do in the near future. Especially if they intend to deal with bandwidth abuse.

No, they don't, Mikey. There's been some controversy over whether they should.

I think that they should. I searched the ntlworld website but frankly it is such a crapy site that I was wondering if I had somehow missed a link.
Thanks:-)
PS: to earlier posters, I'm not interested in running a meter on my computer as there are two computers on a peer-to-peer home network here.
itl be here sooner rather than later...
testing has started i believe....

I also use this and can highly recommend it,it not only can be set to warn you about your cap limit, but gives you a daily, weekly, monthly report and a projection of how much you are likely to use in a month.
As has been mentioned before the best bit is it's Freeware:)
