Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received

Anyone know? My broadband (10MB) has been really bas the past few weeks, I've called CS twice so far and they've told me nothing is wrong. On yesterdays call I was told there was work going on in my area (SK8) even though the site didn't mention it. He said it should be better by the weekend and today it's worse than ever.

I try to play CS and get a ping of 90 - 180 when it used to be about 18 :(
I can't download anything at decent speeds, .net framework from the MS site was downloading at 3.6K/sec.

What can I do to get CS to sort it out?

Seems my "up to" 10Mb is struggling to get past 2Mb. I've had the 10 meg since around november time and never had a problem like this until the start of this year.

What's going on?

like all the other threads on here m8 if your on a 120 modem they are struggling with the 10 meg and firmware upgrades

i had the same problem and the only thing that cured it was a new 250 modem
just ring cs and tell them your syn light flashes they will send out a engineer who fingers crossed will fit you a new modem

I'm getting the same problem. Don't call CS, call broadband tech support on 0845 650 0125. They will go through a series of tests before booking an engineer visit. The engineer will probably find nothing, the network chap who the engineer calls will also find nothing of consequence....they will then boot the problem up a level or two. The reason I know this is because I have just gone through all this over the last 2 days. ntl have been polite, helpful and have so far failed to sort the problem out.....but I have confidence that they will. The more of us that politely phone them and then jump through their pre-programmed hoops the greater the chance that they sit up and notice/admit that they have a problem with 10 meg....:D

I've already got a 250 modem and have called and gone through lots of hoops with some indian guy already :/

Still they refuse to say there's a problem.
