the british heart foundations initiative to keep our hearts healthy has taken a new twist by the announcement that GP's will now have the power to prescribe a 'step-o-meter' a device which allows you to measure walking distances its recommended that you take 10,000 steps a day

Yeah - I saw that too Kronas - apparently the Govt has now decided it wants to encourage 'modal shift' ie getting us all out of our cars and making us walk everywhere (well according to the course I was on last week).
I think it will take a bit more than handing out these machines though!

i think we could all do more to improve our health but its not easy these days with the growing amount of time spent at work and the fact that cars are being used for a lot of journeys big or small is problomatic for the future
