Lo chaps.

Can anybody confirm if these power levels are ok or not?

#Downstream Receive Power Level : 0.87 dBmv
Downstream SNR : 33.91 dB
Upstream Transmit Power Level : 49.00 dBmv

I'm on 10 meg through ambit 120 sacm and my game ping is pretty bad spiking to 180 with anything upto 16 % packet loss (according to speed test).

I've done the usual, checking for malware open/listening ports etc and overall connection seems to be steady between 7 to 8.5 meg so no issues there, its just this high ping i'm having problems with.

1st 512K took 421 ms = 1216.2 KB/sec, approx 10021 Kbps, 9.79 Mbps
2nd 512K took 438 ms = 1169 KB/sec, approx 9633 Kbps, 9.41 Mbps
3rd 512K took 1672 ms = 306.2 KB/sec, approx 2523 Kbps, 2.46 Mbps
4th 512K took 437 ms = 1171.6 KB/sec, approx 9654 Kbps, 9.43 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 7958 Kbps, 7.77 Mbps

Any suggestions what else to try before calling ts?

Those levels are fine, but won't detect upstream congestion. PM me your modem's MAC address and I'll check it.

Thanks for looking in to this issue BBking and thanks David for the link.
I noticed on the NTL service status link that they are carrying out maintainence so maybe this problem will be resolved soon, either way at least i know its not a fault with my rig, the modem or the line in .

Thanks again

Well just as BBking said, NTL must have picked up on the problem and it is now resolved, zero packet loss and a usable ping .
