i've got a really horrible school christmas carol tune running through my head.you know the sort.one of the music teachers has 'composed' it.i had to cover music yesterday and it's still runnibg through my head a day later.

so tell me about the worst christmas song/carol you can and try to include lyrics for a little of the flavour.

i'll kick off

oh the long rocky road, long rocky road,
long rocky road etc,etc............

For unadulterated wall-to-wall rubbish, you can't beat some of the golden oldies. For example:

All I Want For Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)

Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

Little Drummer Boy

Rockin Around The Christmas Tree

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Winter Wonderland

but all the above actually have character.the sort of songs i'm on about about are insipid cr*p written by rank amateurs who are trying to 'educate' children.sort of crimbo rock opera.

Umm ... What about Chris de Burghs appalling epic, Spaceman Came Travelling...

(as used by our Sunday School some 20 years ago as the inspiration for an 'alternative' nativity play in which myself and a primary school chum had to dress up as aliens and show up at the stable? We had green makeup on our faces and *ahem* green tights on. Thankfully this was all before video cameras were in widespread use.) :disturbd:
