View Full Version : Euromillions Jackpot
Not sure how many people normally do the Euromillions, I don't as a rule generally but the jackpot this week is £43 million pounds so have just put on a couple of lines :erm: :Yikes:
It's drawn on a Friday and costs £1.50 per line. Got to be worth a try and think of the super Christmas you'll have if you win that lot :D :D :D :hyper:
Good luck !!!!!!!
Blimey, what would you ever do with that amount of money:shrug:

Blimey, what would you ever do with that amount of money:shrug:If I'd won it six months ago, I would've bought Century 106FM. :D
Meant to put a couple of lines on it last night - must do it for next Friday. :)
I'm off to order my Aston Martin first thing Saturday morning if my numbers come up, ring Chimaera so she can order hers and book the first flight to Florida I can find :tu:
It wouldnt change me... I'd still live in the same 2 up 2 down terrece and keep my £45 a week part-time job as a toilet attendent... I might treat myself to a decent second-hand car? But I'd still like to get the bus. I wouldnt change the way I shop, I like neto, lidl and aldi. I think I'll buy my daughter a new bed, she's been after one for a while now. etc etc...
GET REAL!!!! dont you just hate it when someone like that wins the jackpot!! I'd take the effing lot off them! Then put them up against a wall and shoot the feckers! Why do they even bother doing the lottery? It totally baffles me!
What I would do is SPEND SPEND SPEND!!!! after running around manchester totally naked!! shouting "FOLLY FOLLY FOLLY EFFLETUMP STRAFFINGTHUD" several times! :D

How many people would actually invest their cash - buy stocks/shares, businesses? :)

I would buy some property.
nice to dream but i won it once and got £7.20
still do it every week .
I would see my family and close frieds set up for life then live off the interest, rather comfortably...
Still, I can only dream....
Blimey, what would you ever do with that amount of money:shrug:
I have already agreed with t'other half, that we are going to get Abi Titmuss to be our maid. Its win-win really, I get to see her in a french maid's uniform, and t'other half gets to watch her clean toilets ;) I suppose the t'other half will spend the rest of that 43m quid on laxatives :)
The first thing I would do is buy a new Backside:Yikes: mine has a hole in it:disturbd:

So where else would you do "it", through your nose? :D
Of course.. I'd donate a million to CF... :)
No-one can buy their way on to the team sorry :PP: :D
I haven't done the lottery in about 5 years and I doubt I ever would - winning that sort of money would make anyone lose touch with reality. I certainly could do with a bit more money but that's probably more desire than neccessity.
I never understand people who say things like "I don't want to win a million, just a few hundred thousand will do me" then go and put a fiver on each week.
If you don't want to win the jackpot, don't play it!

If I won it the one thing I wouldnt spend on is stocks/shares they are too erratic. I would very likely invest in property and stick loads away to simply earn interest. I would also probably start up a company to keep myself busy.

I can operate on it if you like? Seal it up....... :)
It might stop you talking through it though.......
The money wouldnt make me happy.....So I'd spend it all making sure I made everyone else as missreable as me :)
I think i'd take a full page ad in all the nationals with a picture os my naked of my *rse and tell the world where to kiss :)
then see me family and freinds are ok and then just do what i want when i want :)

It wouldn't change me - though I would employ a full time band to follow me around everywhere I go, playing music to match the current situation I was in...
'OK band, lets have some pondering music, whilst I ponder over what to buy next...'

£43m @5% = £2,150, 000 interest *60% (as you would give Gordon 40%) = £1.29M or £107,50 0 a month or about £3,500 a day.

We all know the odds for winning the National Lottery are 14,000,000 to 1 but what are the odds on winning the Euro Lottery? Never played the game myself.
---------- Post added at 20:29 ---------- Previous post was at 20:18 ----------
Found this snippet of info:-
The odds of winning the EuroMillions jackpot is approximately 1 in 76,275,360.
The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24. All prizes at each level are pooled and shared between the winning players in the participating countries. The jackpot will grow and grow until it is won.
Seventy-six million to one ! Don't think I'll bother.:D

I know what you mean, there was a story the other week about a woman who'd won £8 million she was still working on the checkouts at her local ASDA and still had a holiday in a caravan in Cornwall.
The first thing I'd do is book 4 plane tickets for Mexico for a 6 week stay, when I returned go to the local Merc dealer and order 2 top of the range Mercs one for me and one for the missus.
I'd sort the family out so they'd have no mortages and a decent wedge in the bank to start them off in life.
Well, it wasn't won again so we're looking at about £58,000,000 for Friday :erm:

£1.50 a line, pick 5 numbers (from 1-50) + 2 "star" numbers (1-9)
basic prizes start from matching 2 numbers plus a star.
Match all five numbers and 2 stars for the jackpot :D

thanks rob better put a line on 2morrow now lol
I won £7.70 on the EuroMillions this week, I put two lines on because I dont play every week. I didnt win either on the Lotto or Thunderball. I suppose its better than nothing.
If I ever did win the jackpot I'd have my dream home built. Don't know what I would spend the rest on.

A higher jackpot is a worser deal, it just for someone reason attracts more people. Think back to when branson offered to run the lottery and he offered smaller jackpots but better chances of winning so more millionaires. For most a million should be enough to change your life.
Not quite as the title of this thread suggests, but........

what happens to unclaimed lottery wins?
The money (and interest) gets given to the good causes fund.
