Anyone on this plan? it apparently includes line rental in the £25.50 per month.
Under that idea my last bill from BT would have been £25.50, NTL would have been around £39.

Why have you posted this in the ntl forum?

I'll move it to the correct forum.

Just got to curb those mobile calls as i say :)

Spoke to CS this morning about my bill funnily enough, now that is has DTV on also. I asked if it was the best plan to be on based on our volume of phone calls and her answer was yes.

Just contacted BT who are sorting out all the cancellation details with NTL.
Should have the service up and running thursday morning on my current NTL number.
Plumped for the anytime plan, the beauty is the free full itemised billing which NTL charge for and the caller display, and 25% off mobile phone calls.
Ntl would not offer the free full itemised billing, I like to see what calls are being made and when, under the NTL calls are just summarised if you dont pay the monthly fee.

Normally at this point I'd plug http://www.call18866.com and http://www.call1899.com but both now have a minimum call charge of 0.5p per minute instead of being free, so they're not as good value as they were.

Having said that, you'd still need to make a lot of calls to get up to £25 a month!

You'll find you can access your bill online and change your options if necessary too ;) Think NTL need to look towards making their services a bit more user friendly and accessible online. We went back to BT to regain caller display since NTL were constantly lying about it coming soon here. We can access our bill online even though we will get a paper bit and we can tinker with our phone package without having to ring up and wait in line.

The caller display capability has helped make our minds up, the chance to decide whether or not to answer the phone ;)

Also the free itemised billing, NTL's billing is like a grain in the sand, take our last phone bill from NTL, " Total itemised calls 28, total non itemised calls 219 "
That does'nt tell me a lot, if there is a lot of non itemised calls how can you querry your bill if you think there is a mistake? BT takes that doubt out of it by listing every number dialled, and free of charge too compared to NTL's monthly fee.
I did bring this up with NTL customer services a while ago, the charging for itemised billing, but was as much use as talking to a brick wall, so now I just take my custom elsewhere, one thing NTL are good at in my book is losing customers without putting up a fight to keep them.
