Hi,

Is it possible to turn on Caller ID without having to wait on hold 20 or 30 minutes on phone to CS (i.e using Service Codes?). We have had to ring several times recently changing TV and BB packages and cancelling the old 2nd line that was used for Dial up, and then ringing back when the changes hadn't taken effect!

i.e 4 or 5 calls and two hours wasted.

I find it hard to believe that a Techology Communications provider doesn't have online facitlities for package changes, with the exception of the BB upgrade pages.

This is by no means a dig at NTL, we are reasonably happy with the service, just a shame everything relies on a long wait on the phone, albeit a free call.

We just cannot face another long wait on the phone.

Thanks in advance, Bashy...

They wait time is not normally that long these days, but no you have to call them.

Oh, thanks, but the wait time is that long at the moment, as all these calls were last week. And we got fed up of waiting the other day after 15 minutes when the wait time was reported as 10 minutes.

Thanks again, will sit down with a good book (War and Peace) and try ringing again.

is there a best time to ring?

Bashy...Dunno, I avoid calling them too, but when my STB went bang they answered the phone pretty quickly.

Is caller ID the option that costs £1.75 a month?

If caller ID is enabled would this allow me to use a suitable modem so I can have the caller come up on my PC?

mmm
