512k / Unlimited - £17.99 a month .... Do I have to upgrade and then abuse the hell out of it to get this package?

Looks a damn sight better than either 300k / 30GB or 1Mbit / 3GB

On the other hand, If I'll get this for going over 3GB on the 1Mbit, then if I actually managed to opt out of the upgrade, them I want to opt out of the opt-out!

I'd be happy with 512k / 30GB, though even that isn't completely competetive with some of the ADSLs, I'd hate to move, only to find they would actually offer a package like this - my dream spec ... decent enough speed and "no worries" limit or no limit.

Hear Hear.

I also want this.

Do we all have to become bad guys to qualify?

Does responsible behaviour on the 300KB speed not merit this is a reward?

Well surely if you behaviour on the new 1Mb is not sufficiently responsible you will end up here.

Unfortunately a small number of users havenââ‚ƚ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t changed their usage †“ some have consistently topped 500GB per month.

 500gb a month??

According to NetMeter my max ever is 17gb!

Good move, people in the 500gb regions with how much stuff takes up now should be punished.

Question is though whether they hit the people who did over 150gb aswell, I have the feeling the 500gb figures is just to quake people into thinking those being downgraded are just a few super demented downloading freaks.

A package like this should be available to everyone. If they can do it for heavy users surely they cant be to worried about contention and or bandwidth issues at this speed????

My guess is it will be available soon but just isnt marketed yet, website updated etc. Their must be modem config files in place if they moving user's over.
