Phoned NTL cable modem tech support for the first time in about 2 years expecting to speak to a friendly and knowledgable welsh bloke. It seems there's no more of that. :( The guy says I need to get the account holder to ring up and arrange an engineer. :@
My connection is absolutely battered as of yesterday and it is totally wrecking my throughput. I'm on the 2 Mb service with an Ambit 100 and now lucky to see more than 30 K off anything.
Anyway, the guy on the phone just said call an engineer out but didn't even seem to make any reasonable effort like the old tech support people did, so I had a little investigation myself and managed to find the log page. (Why have they hidden it!? - http://192.168.100.1/P_log.htm for anyone wondering, what a guess!)
