View Full Version : W00t! First snow is here!
W0000000000000000tttttttt SNOW! And that in the middle of the fall!
The first snow fell this evening. I was taking out some pop cans to recycle and to my surprise little white flakey thingies were coming down. Temperature right now is 26 degrees (-3 C).
I have a feeling this winter is gonna be c o l d.
These pictures were taken earlier this year (February). Although the ground isn't covered in snow now, in a few weeks it will look like this (I'm living in the same place).

Lol, we had sleet on Tuesday in Northern England.
Been getting below freezing on a night time.
If that much snow was to fall in England the country would grind to a halt. Those Southerners have absolutely no Idea how to drive in winter conditions. (they actually have no idea how to drive at anytime come to think of it).
I hope we get some decent snow fall this winter, I love the stuff.

Cheeky beggar, where were you in 86-87 when we had all the snow down here then ???
On Tuesday evening, Mrs A drove thru sleet to Plas-y-Brenin in North Wales. She was a 'mock student' on Wednesday rock-climbing on Little Tryfan. She still looked cold by the time she got home. Aparently, there was snow lying on the mountain tops.

Digging my way out of the house to get to school, we had 5-6ft drifts, there was snow on the ground for about 2 months up here in the North.
